Simmons, 73, wife of the late Irving (Mickey) Simmone, died Oct. 1, 2002 at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. She was born Jan. 10, 1929 in Exeter, the daugther of Harold and Hazel (Crossman) Strout. She waa a graduate of Higgins Classical Institute in Charleston, Class of 1947 and was a hard working member of the Charleston Baptist Church. Charlotte was a very active member of the Rebekah Lodge in Corinth, the Charleston schools and PTA and many local functions. She waa an excellent mother who loved to sew clothes for her family, pick and sell the strawberries or be working with her husband wherever she was needed. She is survived by three sons, George Simmons and his wife, Beverly and John Simmons and his wife, Collette, both of Charleston, and David Simmons of Bangor; a daughter, Laura Partridge and her husband, Doug of Charleston; two sisters, Marilyn Scribner of Dexter and Carole Smith and her husband, Lewis of Brewer; six grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Charlotte was predeceased by a son, Harold."
