"Latrobe Bulletin [Latrobe, PA], 25 March 1946," p. 4: "Following an illness of several weeks duration, Joseph S. Pollins, Sr., died this morning at two o'clock at his home on West Second Street, in Greensburg. He was 73 years of age and leaves to survive his widow, Mrs. Rosa Pollins and the following children: Martha S. and Richard B., at home; Mrs. Rebecca Saxman and Joseph, Jr. of Latrobe, and Elisabeth K., of Phila delphia. Two brothers, John W Pollins and Calvin E. Pollins of Greensburg, also survive as does one grandchild."
