[58385] Nathan's obituary: "Nathan Oscar Arthur Hill, 84, met his Savior face to face on December 11, 2021, at Rocky Ridge Farm. He was born September 27, 1937, in South Berwick, Maine, the son of Kenneth and Evelyn (Duran) Hill. Nathan enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1955 serving 3 years as a rifleman (0311) and was honorably discharged as a corporal in 1958 having been honored as Marine of the Month and receiving a Good Conduct Medal. After attending New Brunswick Bible Institute and marrying Lucilva 'Sue' Blodgett of Sebec on August 24, 1963, he purchased a homestead and named it Rocky Ridge Farm. In addition to farming, Nathan supported his family as a security guard and custodian, eventually becoming supervisor of maintenance for campus residency with the University of Maine. Nathan enjoyed growing raspberries and pumpkins, as well as visiting with his customers. An avid reader, he also had a passion for hunting, feeding the birds and serving in his church. During their semi-retirement years, Nathan and Sue enjoyed wintering in Florida and serving at D&D Missionary Homes. Nathan is survived by his wife of 58 years; eight siblings; three children, Nick and Penni Hill of Hudson, ME, Carol and Donnie Purvis of Wichita Falls, TX and Lisa and Rich McVicar of Syracuse, NY; a daughter-in-law, Melissa and Darren Isherwood of Newnan, GA; fifteen grandchildren, Alex and Rachel Canney, Ken and Clarissa Hill, Rachel McVicar, Andy McVicar and the Isherwoods including J.D., Hannah, Matthew, Noah, Rachel, Eli, Zachary, Annie and Isabella; five great grandchildren, Wilbur, Wilson and Lucie Hill, Charles and Claire Canney. He was predeceased by both parents, two siblings and his son Scott."
