[9448] Roy is son of Samuel Gordon and Catherine Elizabeth Leonard. The News-Sun [Newport, PA], 28 July 1977, p. 2: Roy S. Gordon, 71, of Millerstown RD 1, died last Tuesday at his home. He was a retired employee of Murray's Garage, New Bloomfield, and a member of St Matthew's Lutheran Church and the church council, Newport RD. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Esther S. Gordon; two daughters. Mrs. Virginia Viggio, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Mrs. Peggy F. Sowers, of Millerstown RD 1; a sister Mrs. Blanche Wertz, of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, and a great-grand son. Services were held Saturday at the funeral home in Loysville, with the Rev. Paul W. Case, his pastor, officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery.

He had one son and two daughters with Ann Meharg between 1838 and 1847. He died on March 10, 1875, in his hometown at the age of 64.
The unverified Watters Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2017 offers: "Johannes Jurian Westfall was born in 1660 in Kingston, New York. He had [at least] one daughter with Maritje Kool in 1691. He died in 1725 in his hometown at the age of 65. Maritje Kool was born on March 7, 1666, in Kingston, New York. . . . . She died in 1728 in Minisink, New York, at the age of 62.

Find A Grave memorial 67449027 offers: "Johannes was the third child born to Juriaen Westfall and Marretje Hansen. He was born at a Dutch settlement along Esopus Creek that was chartered by the Dutch as the city of Wiltwyck in 1661. There is no Kingston Dutch Church record of his christening as it was not started until 1661. The British took over Dutch lands in 1664 and Wiltwyck renamed Kingston, New York in 1669. Johannes was age eight when his father died in 1667 and he was raised by his fathers close friend Thomas Chambers, at his Kingston estate "Ye Manor of Fox Hall". This manor was granted by the British to Thomas in gratitude for his help. Johannes wed Marretje, daughter of Jacob Barentsen Cole (Kool) and Marretje Symons Floriszen at the Kingston Dutch Reformed Church on January 28, 1683. They lived in Kingston and had:

In 1696, Johannes and sister Rymerick Quick plus brothers Nicholas(Charles) and Simon were part of a group of twenty-two people who bought a large parcel of Indian land. This land is along present route 209 (The Old Mine Road) from Westbrookville to Port Jervis, New York area. In about 1697, Johannes moved his family to Rochester Township, around present Accord, New York and had:

Church functions were provided by a circuit rider from the Kingston Dutch Church. Johannes later moved his family to Mackackemack (Port Jervis, N.Y.) The Kingston church put a resident missionary there in about 1715 and built a church in 1743. It was located next to the present Mackackemack Cemetery. Johannes died in Machackemack and his grave site is believed to be Machackemack Cemetery.
