Paullin, 83, of 314 Hoffman Road died Monday morning, Oct. 1, 2001, in Samaritan Regional Health System emergency room after a sudden illness. Mr. Paullin was born July 11, 1918 in Loudonville, the son of the late O.P. and Edna Mae Coble Paullin. He was a 1936 graduate of Loudonville High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving onboard the destroyer USS Vallette. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hanover Lodge 115 F&AM, Loudon Post 257 American Legion, The Toastmasters Club and Loudonville-Perrysville Bowling Club. He was a 43-year employee of The Flxible Company, retiring in 1980 from the parts sales department. Surviving are his wife, Norma Jean Swainhart Paullin, whom he married May 29, 1948; and four sisters, Ruth Helbert and Dorothy Stockmon, both of Loudonville, Jeanne Shreve of Mansfield and Norma McClaran of Ashland. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Kenneth Paullin, and two sisters, Marie Wickham and Helen Roach."
