[6950] The unverified Ancestral File (Z5LC-XJ) of the LDS Church states that Rebecca is daughter of Samuel Templin and Hanna Jacobs. http://www.geocities.com/dalemorrow/tem166.htm reports she is second child of this couple, and offers: "Samuel Templin, b. c1741, Chester Co., PA, s/o Richard and Mary Templin, d. bet. 2 Jan and 28 Feb 1816, Frederick Co., MD, m. (166) _______?, who died prior to 1771, when he m. 2nd., (166/2) Hanna Jacobs. In early Frederick Co., MD records, the name is sometimes spelled, Dempling. He evidently settled c1771, when bought 300 acres of land from Philip Farver on 21 Jul 1771, in or near to Middletown in Frederick Co., where the family was active in the Zion Lutheran Church, where he was a witness to baptisms in 1783 and 1784.According to the church records they must have been there by 1761, when the first child was born. His will names his eleven children."
