Find A Grave Memorial 94356679 offers: "Delilah was married twice. Delilah and Ezra Jay Beeghly were married in December 1868. Delilah and Ezra Jay Beeghly had ten children: Ada, William, Mary Ellen, John Milton, Calvin Arther (linked), Josiah, Emma, Harvey, Nellie May and Norman Ross (linked). The couple had been married for 39 years when Ezra Jay Beeghly died in 1907, aged 60 years. Delilah would have been aged 59 years at that time. It's possible that the youngest two children, although teenagers, would still be living at home in 1907. A 1910 Census shows Delilah as a widow living in Kansas. It appears that Delilah remarried after Ezra's death. A 1915 Census shows her husband as Wm. H. Cook with Delilah and Norman living in Kansas. A 1920 Census shows her husband as Wm. H. Cook. Also, that Census record shows Norman Ross Beeghly, age 29, step-son of Wm. H. Cook, is living with them. So sometime between 1910 and 1915, Delilah and William H. Cook were married."

He learned the trade, and became a maltster as an adult. A maltster was a maker of malt, hence beer or ale. In 1656, Daniel bought thirty acres of land in Portsmouth, and at a town meeting that year was received formally into the community. He continued to live in Portsmouth for more than twenty years . He took an active interest in public affairs, serving on the petit and grand juries, and for several years was constable. The constable was an important man in those days, collecting taxes or "rates", acting in the capacity of trial justice and as conservator of the peace. About 1679, Daniel left the island. He moved to the mainland settlement of Little Compton, to which had also come a number of settlers from the northeast, some of them descendants of the Mayflower Pilgrims. Intermarriages soon took place between the newcomer families and the Rhode Island families. Of these, Daniel married Lydia, the granddaughter of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins, legendary characters of the Pilgrim saga."
