"The Morning Call [Allentown, Pennsylvania], 18 October 1920," p. 4: "Thomas Ritter. possibly the oldest man in the upper end of Lehigh county, died at 5 30 o'clock a. m., Saturday at the home of his son, W. D. Ritter, 318 Second St., SJatington, of infirmities due to his advanced age. He was ninety-two years and twenty-one days of age. He is survived by the following children: C. A. Ritter, Auburn. Pa.; Dr. F. O. Ritter, Allentown; W. D. Ritter, with whom he resided in Slatington; A. J. Ritter, Allentown, and Milton Ritter, Palmerton. His wife preceded him In death quite a number of years ago. The funeral will be held on Wednesday morning at 9.15 o'clock, at his late residence, the home of his son, W. D. Ritter, Slatington, with continued services in the Unionville church, with Rev. J. S. Longacre officiating. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church."
