Roger worked a variety of jobs including at the A & P grocery store and Easter Fine Paper in Brewer before settling into his career working for the State of Maine as a liquor licensing agent. Roger was predeceased by his wife, Vanessa and his son, Robert. He is survived by his twin brother, Ronald Archer and his wife, Judith, of Thorndike; niece, Janice Archer of Hampden; nephew, John Archer and his partner, Janet Smith, of Orrington; and niece, Julie Monroe and her husband, Daniel, of Holden."

Pollock, Qunrryville R1, died at 11:05 a.m. yesterday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schreiber, New Providence, with whom she had been living for the past three weeks. She was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth Smith Miller and a member of the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brehren. Surviving are these sons and daughters: Robert W. Pollock, Quarryville; Clessie, wife of Edward Longer, and Norman S. Pollock, both of Lancaster; Anna, wife of Charles Schreibcr, with whom she resided; Raymond A. Pollock, Drumore; and Elsie, wife of Frank Armstrong, New Providence RD. Twenty-five grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren also survive. She was the last of her immediate family."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Wharton,_2nd_Baron_Wharton offers: "He was knighted in 1543 by Seymour-Hertford and married to Anne Radcliffe, elder daughter of Robert first earl of Sussex, in 1547. Little is known of Sir Thomas except that he was a companion of Mary I of England. He was with her at Kenninghall when young Edward VI died and Lady Jane Grey ascended the throne for nine days. Sir Tom escorted Mary to Framlingham Castle and, upon her accession, to the Tower of London. He was named Master of the Henchmen and a member of the Queen's Privy Council. Being a devout Catholic and supporter of Mary, she had him retained, through personal letters, in Parliament and granted him the Manor of Newhall in Boreham, Essex and a house in London on Canon Row in Westminster.
When Mary died and Elizabeth became queen, Thomas was excluded from Parliament and retired to Newhall. Still continuing to celebrate the Mass, he was eventually imprisoned in the Tower of London in 1561, the same year his wife died. Seven years later he inherited the title of Baron which he held for four years. He died on 14 June 1572 at his house on Canon Row and was buried in Westminster Abbey."
