[38543] Findagrave.com offers: "Sarah Jane Bise was born at Nashville, Tennessee January 13th, 1838, and died at her home in Ozawkie, Kansas December 23rd, 1924 at the advanced age of 86 years 11 months 10 days. When she was three years old her parents came west settling in Missouri and after a short stay in Missouri, removed to the State of Iowa, where she grew to womanhood, and on June the eighth, 1856, united in marriage with William C. Brunton. They came to Kansas as pioneers in the year 1860 when there were many trials and hardships to endure, but through courage industry and economy they won the esteem and friendship of those about them, and soon earned and established a splendid home, which was blessed with seven sons and five daughters beside these Mae Bise a niece who was left motherless at the age of 18 months was taken into the home as an own child, sharing its blessings and comforts. Together this little group journeyed until all had grown to manhood and womanhood, the circle being broken now, through the going out of father, mother, two brothers. Of the children there yet remain Edna Casebier of Oskaloosa, Kans.; Rose Brinkerhoff, Fullerton, Calif.; Walter Brunton, Wenatchee, Wash.; Mattie Wellman, Compton, Calif.; Edward Brunton, Ozawkie, Kans.; Delbert Brunton, Fresno, Calif.; Nellie Harden, Ozawkie, Kans.; Mae Wells, Gaylord, Kan. From these came the splendid heritage of 66 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren, besides these, friends who think it an honor to be there are many other relatives and the lineage of the one whom we loved to greet as mother and grandmother. Mother Brunton united with the Church of the Brethren forty years ago and from the very start in the new life became an extensive Bible student acquiring a wonderful knowledge of its doctrines and teachings and was constantly and fearlessly telling those who were unsaved the way of life and salvation. Aside from her untiring church activities, volumes could be written telling of her administering help in time of sickness, distress, poverty or sorrow. Suffice it to say there was no night too dark, too stormy or cold, but that she would answered a call from any home in need or distress, giving of her time and means unstintingly. Finally at the close of a long and eventful life she herself became an invalid and was very tenderly and patiently cared for by her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Alva Harden who administered to her every need and comfort until the lamp of life went peacefully out.."

[48257] "The News [Newport, PA], 22 July 1897," p. 5: "Mrs. Caroline Sheibley died of paralysis on Monday afternoon at her home, in Bloomfield, aged about 7 years, having been stricken on Wednesday of last week, in the forenoon of which day she retired to he room and locked the door. She was called at noon, but did not respond, and as it was supposed she was asleep, she was not disturbed. Another effort to arouse her was made at supper time, with the same result as before. The family having become alarmed, upon the return of her son-in-law, Dr. R. M. Alexander, with whom she made her home, from a professional visit, the door was forced open and Mrs. Sheibley found lying unconscious on the floor. She never regained consciousness. She was a daughter of the late Jacob Emerich, of Millerstown, and was born in Dauphin, Pa. She was twice married. Her first husband was Isaac Brandt, deceased, late of Millerstown, and her second Hon. Jacob Sheibley, of Spring township, who died February 9, 1882. Two sons of the first marriage survive her - Anthony Brandt, of Bellevue, Iowa, and William Brandt, of Denver, Colorado. Her only surviving daughter is Mrs. Alexander. A sister, Mrs. Yeakel, resides at Millerstown, and another, Mrs. Kincaid, presumably in Nebraska. The funeral will be held this morning. Services at the house at 9 o'clock; interment at Millerstown, where the body of her first husband is buried."
[58627] Find A Grave memorial 111299433 states she m. Abner Tibbetts in 1811 and that she previously m. Elijah Crane (1769-1810).
[57751] Leafy is daughter of Coney Foster Grant (1873-1941) & Josie M. York (1874-1944; m. 3 October 1891 in Brighton, Somerset Co., ME).

[60198] "Sun Journal [Lewiston, Maine]," 8 January 2005: "Chesterville - Cecil L. Wheeler Jr. passed away Wednesday, Jan. 5, while attending to projects around his beloved home of 48 years in Chesterville, a source of endless pride and his life work. He was born in Strong, June 28, 1929, the son of Cecil L. Wheeler Sr. and Hilda Turner Wheeler. Being a close acquaintance of Jesus Christ, he has employed his amazing character in the service of his Lord and Savior. He will be missed but never forgotten by the many people who have been guided and inspired by his humble example of love, patience, and endurance. During his lifetime, he enjoyed the roles of husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be forever remembered by his wife and lifetime love, Joan Carter Wheeler, and adored by his children, Geary, Kathleen, Brian and Jeff, and his daughters-in-law, Debbie and Trinh. His 13 grandchildren were a source of endless joy, and to them, he defined the word 'Grand' in 'Grandpa.' His generous gifts of time and attention have left him remembered as the toymaker, frog catcher, storyteller, scoutmaster, cartoonist, friend and confidant. His life of 75 years was an adventure that led him to become a soldier in the National Guard, a sailor in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Midway, and he was honored to be a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. His strong work ethic and analytical skills were later employed for 32 years in Maines papermill industry."
