[44244] Frank is son of Enoch Davis (1802-1873) & Barbara Goodman (1810-1894). "The Dayton Herald, 14 November 1929," p. 19: "Tippecanoe City, Ohio, Nov. 14. Frank G. Davis, 75, former postmaster, died last evening at his home, 223 West Main street, from paralysis. He was stricken late Tuesday afternoon. About two years ago he sustained a similar stroke, but rallied at that time. Mr. Davis was prominently known in Miami county and was recognized as a staurich Democrat. He is survived by his widow and three children, Mrs. Paul Braunschweiger, Troy; Miss Margaret Davis, Dayton, and Robert Davis, Tippecanoe City, who is in the local post office."

[51303] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 27 September 1944", p. 6: "Orland, Sept 26 - A pretty church wedding took place In the Orland Congregational church when Miss Josephine B. Hutchins of Orland became the bride of Frederick T. Morey of Castlne on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 4 oclock in the afternoon. The Rev. Ray S. True pastor of the Unitarian church of Castlne read the single ring service. The church was decorated with fall flowers. A quartet consisting of Mrs. Frances Soper, Mrs. Eva Soper, Mrs. Beatrice Carpenter and Mrs. Fannie Dorr sang 'O Promise Me' and 'I Love You Truly'. Mrs. Olive Peavey was organist. The bride was given In marriage by her father, Guy Hutchins. She wore a floor length gown with a full sheer skirt and lace top with a high round neck and three-quarter length sleeves. Her net veil was of finger-tip length and she wore a corsage of yellow roses. The maid of honor was Miss Evelyn Hutchins of Orland. She was dressed In pale pink sheer wearing on her head a shoulder length veil caught on top of her head with a pink rose. She wore a corsage of white roses. Arthur W. Patterson Jr. of Castine was the best man. The ushers were Leslie Dorr and Norwood Eldridge of Orland. The brides mother wore a two piece black ensemble with a corsage of white roses. The mother of the bridegroom wore a blue ensemble with a corsage of yellow rose. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. The guest book was in charge of Miss Edna Hutchins. Mr.s Morey is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Hutchins of Orland. She was graduated from Bucksport High school and the Eastern State Normal School and at present is teaching In Greenville. Mr Morey is the son of Mrs. Fannie Morey of Castlne and the late Arthur Morey. He is a graduate of Castlne High school and attended the Eastern State Normal school. He served In the United States Army for 27 months, 16 of which he was stationed overseas. Mr. and Mrs. Morey will be at home in Bucksport after Sept 29th. The out of town guests at the wedding were Miss Rena Allen, Mrs. Don Allen and Miss Rowena Meisner of Bangor, Mrs. Anna Morey, Mrs. Gladys Robinson, Miss Barbara Robinson, all of Brewer, Miss Jean Deering and Mrs. Deering of Hampden, Miss Grace Ladd of Brooksville, Miss Louise VanMeter of Greenville, Miss Ella VanMeter of Boston, Mrs. Ray S. True of Castine."

[47366] "The Perry County Times [New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania], 3 October 1935," p. 8: "Mrs. Susan Elizabeth Bolze, aged 50 years, 1 month, 5 days, wife of Luther Bolze, of Alinda, died at the Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg, last Thursday at 7 p. m. of a heart condition from which she had been in ill health for some months. She was a daughter of James and Maryetta Foose Rice, of Landisburg, and was born in Spring township. She and Mr. Bolze were married at the Lutheran parsonage in Loysville by their pastor, Rev. W. D. E. Scott, and her entire life was spent in Spring township. Mrs. Bolze was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, the. Young Ladies' Bible Class of the Sunday School and of the Ladies' Aid Society. She was a faithful church worker, wife and mother and her presence will be missed in home, church and community. Surviving her are her husband, four children: Anna Mary, employed at the State Capitol, Harrisburg, Frank, Fae and Bruce at home, and the following brothers and sisters: Alice, Mrs. Cloyd Dunkleberger, Harvey and William Rice, of Lancaster county; Frances, Mrs. Samuel George, and Roy Rice, near Meck's Corner; Mrs. Margaret Bower, Harrisburg; Mabel, Mrs. Warren Beahn, of Chicago; Mamie, Mrs. William Ellerman, Carlisle; Clark, George and Julia Rice, of Alinda. Funeral services were held in the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church on Monday at 10 a. m., her pastor, Rev. J. Grover C. Knipple, officiating, and burial was in the adjoining cemetery." Lizzie and Luther had Anna Mae Bolze Henry (1915-1946), Frank Benjiman Bolze (1919-1973), Faye E. Bolze Zeigler (1925-2008) & Bruce Lance Bolze (1926-1986).

Strout, 89, of 9 Park Place died at a local convalescent home Sunday morning June 17, 1979 following a long illness. He was born in Cherryfield May 15, 1890, son of George R. and Frances R. Strout. He had been a resident here for 39 years and was employed as a carpenter by the A. P. Wyman Co. for 20 years. He was a former member of the Lakeview Golf Club in Burnham. He was married to the former Lavonia Frances Worcester of Cherryfield in 1909. He is survived by his wife, of Waterville, two sons, Donald B. of Kittery Point and Robert A. of Unity; two daughters, Mrs. Sidney B. (Carolyn) Wilder of Brunswick and Mrs. Carl O. (Myrtle) MacLeod of Portland; two brothers, Harold A. of Waterville and Albert F. of Waterville; a sister, Mrs. Maurice E. (Louise) Strout of Cherryfield; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grondchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Cherryfield, at 2 p.m. Tuesday."
