She was the daughter of Hermann and Priscilla Echenagucia, and was born in Penobscot. For several years she had made her home in Castine, after a long residence in Belfast. Surviving are her brother, Frank Echenagucia, a nephew, Arnold Echenagucia and two nieces, Priscilla and Helena Echenagucia, all of Massachusetts. An aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Conner, of this town, also survive. Funeral services will be at the late home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Alfred G. Hampstead of Bucksport. [51229] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 1 July 2014": "Cherryfield - Alonzo C. Willey Sr., 83, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, from cancer. He and his twin brother, Lawrence, were born on Aug. 27, 1930, in Milbridge to Lawrence and Persis (Morrison) Willey. Alonzo graduated from Cherryfield Academy and spent a combined 20-year career in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. After retirement from the military, he worked as a plumber in civil service. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was also a die-hard Red Sox fan. He coached Little League Baseball for 16 years at various military bases. He was a member of the American Legion, Narraguagus Post No. 8, Cherryfield, and a member of Osceola Grange in Harrington. He is survived by his sister, Joan Tucker and husband, Lionel, of Ellsworth; his brother, James Willey and wife, Mary, of Bellingham, Mass; his sister, Jeanne Willey, of Sullivan; his daughter, Ronda Rhodes and husband, Richard, of Faxon, Okla.; son, Alonzo Willey Jr. and wife, Debbie, of Ogden, Utah; son, Wayne Willey and wife, Dawnelle of Ogden, Utah; and stepdaughter, Inez Day, of Cherryfield; grandchildren, Kendra, Brooke, Richard Jr., Jenny, Glenn Jr., Jordyn and Ryan; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family gives special thanks to niece, Joan Willey and husband, Jeff and family friends, Annie Barbee and Christy Kennedy."
