[38188] The 1910 federal census in Mishawaka, Penn Twp., St Joseph Co., IN lists Earl and wife and son Carl (age 2). "Battle Creek Enquirer, 24 November 1965," p. 5: "Earl C. Garmire, 89, of 206 W. Bidwell St., who for many years owned and operated the Garmire Realty Co. here, died this morning in a local hospital following a long illness. He was born Aug. 25, 1876, in LaGrange County, Indiana, a son of John F. and Elizabeth (Fuller) Garmire. He was engaged in real estate and construction business in Indiana before coming to Battle Creek in 1939. He worked here for several years with the Everett C. Foster realty office before going into business for himself. He remained active as a broker, specializing in farm properties, until well into his 80s. He was married in 1896 at Wollcottville, Ind., to Pernita M. Myers, who died in 1937. Surviving are lwo sons E. Carl, of Buchanan and B. J. of Oklahoma City 0kla., and a brother, Glenn, of Atwood Lake, Ind."
