[7676] Lester m. (2) in 1956 at Elyria, OH Elizabeth Lenore Hinckley. Lester had no children. "News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 5 February 1985," p. 6: "Shelby - Lester J. Armold, 83, of 124 Second St. died Monday morning at Shelby Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was born Oct. 18, 1901, and was a lifelong Shelby resident. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Galion. He was a farmer for many years and was employed by Shelby Sales Book for 25 years, retiring in 1965. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, and one niece, Mrs. Joe (Genevea) Moore of Shelby. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Barkdull Funeral Home by the Rev. Bruce A. Hinckley of Zanesville. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery."
Find A Grave Memorial 94356679 offers: "Delilah was married twice. Delilah and Ezra Jay Beeghly were married in December 1868. Delilah and Ezra Jay Beeghly had ten children: Ada, William, Mary Ellen, John Milton, Calvin Arther (linked), Josiah, Emma, Harvey, Nellie May and Norman Ross (linked). The couple had been married for 39 years when Ezra Jay Beeghly died in 1907, aged 60 years. Delilah would have been aged 59 years at that time. It's possible that the youngest two children, although teenagers, would still be living at home in 1907. A 1910 Census shows Delilah as a widow living in Kansas. It appears that Delilah remarried after Ezra's death. A 1915 Census shows her husband as Wm. H. Cook with Delilah and Norman living in Kansas. A 1920 Census shows her husband as Wm. H. Cook. Also, that Census record shows Norman Ross Beeghly, age 29, step-son of Wm. H. Cook, is living with them. So sometime between 1910 and 1915, Delilah and William H. Cook were married."
Ancestry.com offers: "Coleman Name Meaning - Irish: Anglicized form of Gaelic Ó Colmáin 'descendant of Colmán'. This was the name of an Irish missionary to Europe, generally known as St. Columban (c.540-615), who founded the monastery of Bobbio in northern Italy in 614. With his companion St. Gall, he enjoyed a considerable cult throughout central Europe, so that forms of his name were adopted as personal names in Italian (Columbano), French (Colombain), Czech (Kollman), and Hungarian (Kálmán). From all of these surnames are derived. In Irish and English, the name of this saint is identical with diminutives of the name of the 6th-century missionary known in English as St. Columba (521-97), who converted the Picts to Christianity, and who was known in Scandinavian languages as Kalman. Irish: Anglicized form of Gaelic Ó Clumháin 'descendant of Clumhán', a personal name from the diminutive of clúmh 'down', 'feathers'. English: occupational name for a burner of charcoal or a gatherer of coal, Middle English coleman, from Old English col '(char)coal' + mann 'man'. English: occupational name for the servant of a man named Cole. Jewish (Ashkenazic): Americanized form of Kalman. Americanized form of German Kohlmann or Kuhlmann."
