[7274] "Magdalean" on grave marker. "The Perry County Times [New Bloomfield, PA], 11 March 1915," p. 5: "Mrs. Magdalean Eby passed quietly away at 5.45 o'clock Sunday morning at tbe home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. N. McKeehan, in Centre township, from the effects of a paralytic stroke which she sustained December 17. To the end she was fully conscious and when death came it was like a quiet sleep. When stricken, the left side of her body and right side of her face were paralyzed, her face soon regaining its natural appearance but her body remained helpless. Everything that could be done by physicians and nurses was done for her relief. The deceased was a daughter of George and Magdalean (Seager) Brlner. She was one of a family of eight children, namely: Mrs. Sallie A. Miller, Mt. Pleasant; Jacob, now deceased; John H., of Blain; George S., of Carlisle; Mrs. Lizzie C. Foust, now deceased; Mrs. Hannah Brown, of Newville, and Daniel, now deceased. November 29, 1855, she was united in wedlock with Jacob Eby and they took up their residence on the Eby homestead west of New Germantown. One child, Ellen S. - Mrs. Chas. McKeehan, was born to this union, who survives her also 4 grandchildren, Grace, Mabel, Mary and Paul McKeehan. Mr. Eby died from typhoid fever on January 1, 1858, after which time Mrs. Eby went to her home in Mt. Pleasant where she has resided ever since, until about a month ago when she was brought to the home of her daughter to be cared for. The departed has been a consistent member of the Lutheran church at Blain since April 18, 1851. During her suffering, she showed her christian fortitude and patience by bearing all without a murmur or complaint. She was exceedingly fond of children and in return children were very fond of her which no doubt contributed to her youthfulness in action."

[37240] Elizabeth and her ancestry are from the unverified Traxler Family Tree in 2021 in Ancestry.com.
[12318] Alice (or Amice) is daughter and heir of William de Stanford (living 1224-5, lord of Stanford Dingley, Berkshire). Alice was living in 1264.
[21012] "The Boydstun Family," Gustine Courson Weaver (Cincinnati, OH: Powell & White, 1927), p. 52 reports Nancy is daughter of Isaac Gardner (a Revolutionary War soldier from NC). Cf. http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/b/a/t/Margaret-R-Bates/GENE14-0011.html. http://kansasdar.org/prairierose/Ancestors.html offers: "Isaac Gardner was born about 1735 in Orange County, North Carolina, and died after 1790. He was living in Guilford County, Salisbury District, North Carolina, in 1790. He married Hulda .. about 1759, who was born in 1738 and died in 1801." A LDS Church unverified IGI file states that Nancy is daughter of Jacob Gardner (b. 1729 in MD) and Louisa Riley (b. ca. 1730 in KY, m. ca. 1765). The DAR accepts the Revolutionary War service of Isaac as a private from Rutherford Co., NC - application papers list his wife Hulda and their daughters Mary and Nancy Ann - but some researchers believe these two daughters are in fact children of Jacob Gardner and Mary Holton (see Gladys Domonoske's research). Ann Nollsch's web site at Ancestry World Tree states that Nancy Ann was b. 18 Sept 1776 in NC and that her sister Mary was b. 12 April 1777 in Rutherford Co., TN. A message posted on Ancestry.com 13 Sept 2008 offers: "The Ft Worth Texas Genealogical Society has a publication called Footprints. Vol 38, No 3, August 1995 has information copied from Nancy Gardener Boydstun's Bible. Under deaths are listed Mary Gardener Died Oct 1807 aged 56 and Jacob Gardner Died Sept 5 1812 aged 83. Based on this it seems she is the daughter of Jacob & Mary Gardner."
