Her paternal grandparents were Louis I, Count of Montpensier and Jeanne, Dauphine of Auvergne. Her maternal grandprents were Federico I Gonzaga, Marquess of Mantua and Margaret of Bavaria. Her five younger siblings included Charles III, Duke of Bourbon. He was killed in battle in May 1527 when he led the Imperial troops sent by Emperor Charles V against Pope Clement VII in what became the Sack of Rome. By dint of her three brothers having died childless, Louise became the heiress to the county of Montpensier and the dauphinate of Auvergne. The estates, however, had been sequestered by the French King Francis I (at the instigation of his mother, Louise of Savoy) when her brother Charles, Duke of Bourbon and Constable of France formed an alliance with Charles V. After the Duke's death at the seige of Rome, his fiefs were confiscated by the King. On 17 May 1530, she became the suo jure Duchess of Chatellerault, Countess of Forez, Baroness de Beaujeu, which had formed part of her brother Charles' inheritance, however the titles were revoked by the King in January 1532. Eventually some of her late brother's inheritance was restored to her. In February 1538, Louise was invested as Duchess of Montpensier, Dauphine of Auvergne, Baroness de La Tour and de la Bussière by King Francis. . . . In 1499, Louise married her first husband, Andre III de Chauvigny, prince of Deols and vicomte de Brosse. The marriage was childless."

[57210] Elizabeth's obituary: "Elizabeth D. Shaw, 88, died Monday, June 25, 2007, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born April 25, 1919, in Brookton, the daughter of Converse and Amanda Jane (Neal) Kinney. Elizabeth grew up in Eaton and attended area schools. She later moved to Mars Hill and worked at several jobs, such as cooking at Winnie's, Smiths Truck Stop, the Cafeteria for the phone company in Presque Isle and finally at Loring Air Force Base, where she worked in housekeeping. Upon her retirement from the airbase, Elizabeth and her husband, Averill, spent 12 winters in Florida and enjoyed many happy times there. Elizabeth was a longtime member of Full Gospel Assembly, Mars Hill. She is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie Garrison and her husband, Garry, of Mars Hill and Sandra Maynard and her husband, Bill, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, the Rev. Clinton Kinney of Eaton; 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; a stepson, Wendall Shaw of Orange Park, Fla.; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Averill; four brothers, Kenneth, George, Neal and Ivan Kinney; six sisters, Glen Lincoln, Etta Neal, Maria Bragdon, Pearl Gray, Alma Mc-Laughlin and Francis York; and a stepson, Wallace Shaw. She was born August 31, 1947, in Bangor, the beloved daughter of Donald and Marion (Curtis) Moore. Donna was a proud graduate of Hampden Academy, Class of 1966. In her most recent years, she worked as a cashier at Shaw's Supermarket, where she greeted customers with a warm smile and kind words. She developed close friends at work, and her caring nature touched the hearts of many. She had a huge heart and loved everybody. She adored her role as a grandmother and leaves behind two cherished granddaughters, Audrey and Claire, who brought immense joy to her life. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers who provided care and support to Donna over the years. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her four siblings, Paul, Wayne, Wesley, and Jeannette Moore. She is survived by her loving sons, Donald Ritchie and his wife, Jilanta, of Englewood, Florida, Keith Ritchie and his wife, Janis, of San Diego, California; and her former husband, Almon Ritchie."
