[49884] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 22 Januay 1924, p. 2: "Penobscot, Jan. 21 - Seymour F. Wardwell died at his home Sunday, Jan. 13, after a period of falling health at the age of sixty years, five months and thirteen days. Mr. Wardwell was one of Penobscot's well known citizens having spent his whole life here. He was a member of Rising Star Lodge, F. & A. M., and Penobscot Chapter, O. E. S., and will he greatly missed in both these societies. He leaves to mourn his loss a sister, Mrs. S. J. Treworgy of Surry, and one brother, Winfield, of this place . . ." Seymour and Addie had Nella F. (b. June 1888) and George C. (b. Nov. 1893) and one other who died young. George C. Wardwell became a well known state policeman and married Celia Leach, daughter of Harvey Leach, on 12 Sept 1925 - their daughter Elaine Nella Wardwell m. Stover S. Parsons on 12 Sept 1948, her parents 23rd wedding anniversary. This information is from Mark E. Honey of Ellsworth, ME.

Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Radar Division during World War II. He was an Eagle Scout, an avid golfer, and a Red Cross volunteer. James was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church as well as treasurer. He was one of the founders and treasurer for more than 40 years of Fairlawn Swim and Tennis Club. Preceded in death by son, Jack, James is survived by loving wife of 61 years, Helen; sons, Jeff (Libby) Wilson of Akron and Brian (Tami) Wilson of Steubenville; sister-in-law, Louise Rue of Athens; and several nieces."
