Surviving are his wife, Lucille Myers; two daughters, Karen Miller of New Bloomfield and Judith Thompson of Camp Hill; a stepdaughter, Marion Schultz of Gettysburg; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services were held March 12 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Revs. Richard Henry and John Bonebreak officiating. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery."

She married Charles Asa 'Charlie' Hemmenway on October 16, 1888, in Cook, Illinois. They had five children in 11 years. She died on November 25, 1944, in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 81." Mabel attended Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo, MI earning the Ph.B. degree in 1888.
