[59676] Kenneth's obituary: "Verona Island - Kenneth Bridges,85, passed away after a period of declining health at a Bangor Hospital, on Monday December 17th, 2018. He was born in Penobscot, Maine on June 12th, 1933 to Laurence and Regina (Hutchins) Bridges. He grew up in Penobscot and attended schools there along with his three siblings. Ken was quick to crack a smile, wink his eye, enjoy a humorous story and repeat his favorites. He enjoyed hunting, lobstering, gardening, and the Boston Red Sox. He was his grandchildren's biggest fan and never missed their games, if at all possible. His family meant the world to him. He was truly a jack of all trades and epitomized Yankee ingenuity. Ken retired as a pipefitter from International Paper. Prior to this he was employed by Northern Chemical in Searsport. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Patricia (Anderson) Bridges whom he married March 23rd, 1954. He is also survived by his three daughters, Vicki Bakeman, (Leon) Kim Bridges, (Stephen Crosson) and, Andrea Moran, (Richard). He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Cook and her husband Russell, and sister-in-law, Connie Bridges. His cherished grandchildren, Kaci Cowan, Patrick Crosson, Megan Bakeman, Robbie McGuire, Samie Klyce and Mya Moran, great-granddaughter, Eloise Cowan, step-granddaughter Tracy Mahoney and her children Ashley and Alex, along with several very special nieces and nephews whom he thought the world of. He was predeceased by his Father, Laurence, Mother, Regina Perkins, Step-father, Edward Perkins, and siblings, Rebecca, William, and Beverly."
