She was working at Bangor Hydro when she met and later married Douglas Dunnett. Ada became a stay-at-home mother to raise their three children. Doug passed away in 1970. Several years later, Ada met Gerry Taber. They were married in 1973 and Ada became stepmother to Gerry's four children. Ada and Gerry resided in Red Beach. They had a beautiful home overlooking the St. Croix River. They enjoyed spending time with their many friends. There was always plenty of laughter and of course singing. Over the years, they enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and four-wheeling. Ada was a member of the Garden Club and the Lioness Club. In 1989, they purchased their first home in Florida. They enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and staying active while soaking up the sun. Ada always had a sparkle in her eyes and a big smile that will be missed by so many. Ada was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Calais and attended the Calvary Baptist Church when she moved to Brewer. Ada is survived by her children, Linda Pollard (Bob) of Brewer, Doug Dunnett (Grace) of CA, and Mary Dunnett of Brewer; and her stepchildren, Dennis Taber of Harrison, ME, Debbie Taber of Windham, ME, Dawn Taber-Cayer (Mike) of St. Croix VI, and Scott Taber of MA. [27489] Cf. "History & Antiquities of Staffordshire, Vol 2," Stebbing Shaw (1801), p. 169 - this volume is available on CD from http://www.midlandshistoricaldata.org in 2007. Prestwood was in old Staffordshire and is now in the Ashbourne region of Derbyshire in the Peak District of England.
[40406] See Philip Louis, Count Palatine of Neuburg which offers: "Philip Louis was born in Zweibrücken in 1547 as the eldest son of Wolfgang, Count Palatine of Zweibrücken. After his father's death in 1569, his lands were partitioned between Philip Louis and his four brothers - Philip Louis received the Duchy of Neuburg. He married Anne of Cleves, daughter of Duke William IV of Jülich-Cleves-Berg, in 1574 and used the marriage as the basis of his claim to inherit the duchies in the succession controversy after Duke William's heirless death against the Elector of Brandenburg. The controversy threatened to spark a European War but the murder of King Henry IV of France defused the situation. In 1613 Philip Louis converted to Catholicism and gained the support of Spain and the Catholic League while Brandenburg received the support of the Netherlands. By the Contract of Xanten in 1614 it was partitioned without war: Philip Louis received the Duchies of Jülich and Berg."
