Longtime resident of Martinez, he was born in Maine. Alan moved to Martinez in 1963 and worked for Tefler Tank Lines as a machinist until he retired in 1993. He had many hobbies, including fishing, boating, and camping. He loved the outdoors. He could always be found in his backyard restoring all his antique cars and driving them in parades with friends and family. He was a member of the Martinez Historical Society, Northern Model T Club, and Antique Big Rig Truck Club (ATHS). His two greatest pleasures in life were working hard and his family.
