Mrs. Powell leaves her husband, Evan; a son, William, and a daughter, Marjorie Powell, at home; her mother, Mrs. Ida Bader of Uniontown; a brother, Ralph Bader of Uniontown, and two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Keller of Hartville, and Mvs. Irma Robenstine of Cuyahoga Falls. Dr. William Nelson will conduct services at 1 p. m. Saturday in the the Adams Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery."

Born Aug. 9, 1906 in Saville Township, Perry County, she was a daughter of the late David and Jennie A. Hollenbaugh Baughman and the widow of John F. McCarty Jr. Mrs. McCarty was formerly employed at the Camp Curtin Restaurant in Harrisburg for 25 years. She also worked at Chem Line and Dunkin' Donuts, both in Levittown. She was a member of Landisburg Ambulance Club. Surviving are a daughter, June A. Swanger of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren."
