Mabira m. Jordan de Cambernon, seigneur of Cambernon and Maisoncelles, France, who held seven knights' fees of the honor of Gloucester in England in 1166 and three under the Duke of Normandy in 1172. Their grandson, Henry de Chambernon (d. ca. 1210) of Ilfracombe, Devonsire, married Rose, apparently a daughter of Sir William de Tracey who was one of the four murderers of Thomas a Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury. John is from the unverified Shinabarker Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2014. Ancestry.com offers: "Harris Name Meaning - English and Welsh (very common in southern England and South Wales): patronymic from the medieval English personal name Harry, pet form of Henry. This name is also well established in Ireland, taken there principally during the Plantation of Ulster. In some cases, particularly in families coming from County Mayo, both Harris and Harrison can be Anglicized forms of Gaelic Ó hEarchadha."

{Carr P. Collins, Jr., "Royal Ancestors...," p. 78, gives this line and states Hugh m. ca. 1286 Isabel Beauchamp who d. in May,1306.} Find A Grave Memorial 16441434 offers: "He was one of the few barons to remain loyal to Edward, however, his corruption forced him being exiled along with his son, Hugh, the younger in 1321. Edward recalled them to England a year later, an action which enraged the queen, Isabella, the more so when Despenser was created Earl of Winchester. She rebelled against the king and with Roger Mortimer, led a rebellion against her husband Edward. They captured both Despensers - first the elder, later the younger. Queen Isabella interceded for Hugh, the elder, but his enemies, notably, Roger Mortimer and Henry, Earl of Lancaster, insisted they face trial and execution. The elder Despenser was hanged immediately in his armour at Bristol on October 27, 1326. He was then beheaded and his body cut into pieces for the dogs. His head was sent for display to Winchester, which had supported the king." Cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugh_le_Despenser,_Earl_of_Winchester.
