He came to Massachusetts in 1635 on the ship BLESSING from London. On 1 July 1656 he married Hannah Hallett, daughter of Andrew Hallett and Mary (unknown). After her death, John married 1 May 1672 Elizabeth Coleman born 28 Feb 1652, daughter of Edward Coleman of Yarmouth MA. John had moved to Yarmouth about 1651 and acquired a small estate. He was intemperate, improvident and wasted his and his wifeÂ’s estates. He died at Yarmouth in 1697 having reached an old age of 80. His will was dated 3 Aug 1689; and proved 20 Feb 1697."
