She was a former employee with New Cumberland Army Depot and with Your Silent Partner; a 1943 graduate of Marysville High School; and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Marysville. Surviving are her husband, Edward G. Briner; a daughter, Susan L. Evans of Newark, Ohio; a son, Edward G. Ill of Marysville; three grandsons, Ronald V. Howard of Newark, Ohio, Troy f. Howard of Baltimore, Ohio, and E. Garth Briner of Enola; a granddaughter, Cristen L. Briner Jessee of Columbus, Ohio; six great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Foster M., William A. and Carl R. Grubb, and a sister, M. Estella Deckard."

He was born in Presque Isle May 24, 1934, to Hilda (Kilcollins) and Vernon Ireland. He attended the Presque Isle School System. Being born in to the 'farming family', he chose that as his career. Declining health caused him to 'hang up' the combines and tractors. He became acquainted with many area farmers and spent many hours debating who grew the best 'spuds'. In his early years he drove truck for DiCenzo's, and worked at local the potato houses until his own farming skills developed. Richard enjoyed playing softball with the 'County' teams and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and coaching 'Dick's Dreamers'. He was a member of the Westfield Calvary Baptist Church and was attending the State Street Baptist Church in Presque Isle. Richard is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eva (Kinney) Ireland of Presque Isle, his children; Danny and Lori Ireland of Hampden, Larry and Alison Ireland of Presque Isle, Randy and Sue Ireland of Swansboro, NC., Greg and Erin Ireland of Searsport, David Steele of Carmel, and Denise and Scott Doughty of Presque Isle; 15 grandchildren, Erik (Ashley) Ireland, Dena and (Scott) Boucher, Rene (Kenton) Aldridge, Matthew and (Danielle) Steele, Sara Ireland, Jason Ireland, Josh and (Joanna) Doughty, Lora (Tim) Flavin, Lee Ireland, Danielle (Josh) Blanchette, Seth Doughty, A.J. Ireland, Devon (Tyler) Emery, Paige and Morgan Ireland. Great grandchildren; Claire Boucher, Grace and Lily Larrabee, Jacob Blanchette, Evelyn and Olivia Steele, Elias Ireland, and Wyatt Aldridge; a sister Ethel Condon of Presque Isle; a sister-in-law Roberta Ireland of Presque Isle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. See "Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania: Genealogy--family History--biography; Containing Historical Sketches of Old Families and of Representative and Prominent Citizens, Past and Present" (J. H. Beers, 1916), p. 681, which reports, inter alia, that Jacob was a pioneer settler in Pine Valley, Schuylkill Co., PA where he farmed.

Mrs. Cooper was employed with Shelby Public Schools as a cook for 16 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of First United Church of Christ where she was active in Women's Guild and a volunteer at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky for many years. She enjoyed her church and needlework. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Corliss H. Jr. and Patsy Cooper and Daniel B. and Tina Cooper, all of Shelby, Richard W. & Marge Cooper of Kailua Kona, Hawaii; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna Jean and Francis Burk of Kerrville, TX; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, William 'Bill' Wharton of Shelby; one sister, Esther Stover of Shelby; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
