[40073] "The Perry County Times [New Bloomfield, PA], 19 March 1931," p . 8: "Mrs. Sarah Garlin, aged 88 years, 11 months and IS days, died at her home in Landisburg, Wednesday about 11 p. m., of a paralytic stroke. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Crull and was born and reared in Kennedy's Valley. She was married to Daniel Garlin in 1858 and lived in Kennedy's Valley until about 34 years ago when she removed to Landisburg, some time after Mr. Garlin's death. Mr. Garlin, who was a Civil War veteran, enlisted in 1862 serving until the close of the war in 1865, was a member of the regiment, the Pennsylvania Bucktails and fought in twenty-two battles among which were those of Antietum and Bull Run. His death occurred on Thanksgiving Day, 1881. To them were born the following children, Minnie A., Mrs. C. R. Morrison, of Landisburg; Rebecca Jane, Mrs. Joseph Warner, of Carlisle; Bessie, Mrs. Brady Warner, of Cumberland county; Mrs. Nancy Hackett, of Lewistown, whose husband was killed while employed at the works in Burnham; Wm. Garlin; of Alinda; Sadie, Mrs. Alfred Miller, of Shermans Dale, who with their mother survive. There are two of their children dead: Thomas Garlin, of Kennedy's Valley, and Annie Garlin. Mrs. Garlin had 140 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was the last member of her family. She was a member of the Landisburg Church of God, a wife and a mother faithful to her home, family and church, one whose life was one of Christian fortitude, kind to those with whom she came in contact and a mother and neighbor who will be much missed."

Barbara Buffington believes he is the Isaac Myers buried in the Copley Cemetery, Summit Co., OH whose headstone gives the date of death as 22 Sept. 1894. "The Akron Beacon Journal, 24 September 1894," p. 4: "Isaac Myers, one of the best known farmers of Copley township, died yesterday of typhoid fever. He was 55 vears of age and has lived in Summit county all his life. Funeral services will be held to-morrow." "The Akron Beacon Journal, 27 September 1894," p. 3: "The following resolutions relative to the decease of Isaac Myers, of Pine Hill, which occurred the 22nd inst., were adopted by unanimous vote of our Sunday school and Young People's Christian Union during Sunday's session: Whereas, Mr. Isaac Myers, of Pine Hill, has been an honored and respected member of our Sunday school; and Whereas, death has so unexpectedly taken him from us, leaving a vacant chair where we were wont to see a familiar face; and Whereas, we deeply feel the loss, of an earnest, interested laborer in the vineyard of our Lord, be it Resolved, first: That we hereby express to the bereaved wife and family, our heartfelt sympathy in their loss of a loving husband, a kind and gentle father and a wise counselor.
