[5321] Richard III was King of England for two years, from 1483 until his death in 1485 in the Battle of Bosworth Field. He was the last king of the House of York and the last of the Plantagenet dynasty. His defeat at Bosworth Field, the last decisive battle of the Wars of the Roses, symbolism the end of the Middle Ages in England. He is the subject of the play Richard III by William Shakespeare. A news report 23 May 2014: "The High Court has ruled that the University of Leicester has the right to bury King Richard III's remains in the city's cathedral. The King's remains were discovered buried under a council car park in Leicester in 2012. Relatives of King Richard III won the right to bring High Court proceedings to challenge where his remains should be buried, but now a judicial review has ruled that the King's remains will be reburied in Leicester."

[43648] Find A Grave memorial 173029355 offers: "George and his friend John Larkin moved into Maryland after the Puritan Revolution and the reestablishment of religious freedoms by the Calverts. George, an educated man, became a surveyor for Lord Calvert. Living in London Towne, he was in the group that established All Hallows Parrish ~1669. It then became one of thirty Maryland churches organized under the Act of Establishment in 1692 by King William and Queen Mary. George's will, attached picture, is one of the oldest in the MD Archives. In it, he splits his possessions between his nephew Otho Holland and his friend's son, Thomas Larkin. Two interesting questions: Were these people showing knowledge of the family in naming Otho, a name not in the family since founding Knight of the Garter, Sir Otho de Holland, in the 1300s. And a church named All Hallows was a family church across the moat from The Tower of London."
[14613] His surname may be Haven. Peter was Vice Consul at Geneva, Switzerland and had four children, the eldest being wife of the Rev'd Leighton Parks, Rector of Emmanuel Church, Boston, MA. http://members.aol.com/lwhitcomb/ljwanc/d0/i0001025.htm#i1565 offers: "Ellen Calista Whitcomb was born 1833. She married twice. She married Joshua Haven date unknown. She married Peter Haven date unknown. married first Joshua Haven and second Peter Haven, who was for many years Vice Consul at Geneva, Switzerland; they reside in Geneva; one son."
