[52197] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 13 November 2022": "Alfred - Remembering the life of Elaine Marie (Farren) Beal of Alfred, Maine. Elaine passed on November 8, 2022, surrounded by her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, Clarence D Beal Jr., and family at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, after tirelessly and courageously fighting the effects of heart disease. Elaine was born in Cherryfield, Maine, January 26, 1935, daughter of Prescott and Natalie (Willey) Farren. Preceding her in death were her siblings, Prescott Farren Jr., Phillip Farren, Rosalee Farren, Barbara Mathews, and Sandra Chipmanipman. Elaine graduated from Ellsworth High School, class of 1953, where she developed many long-lasting friendships. After high school she went on to complete the nursing program at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, MA. This led to many years of nursing in a variety of specialties delivering care to each patient with kindness and care in a way only she could. Everything she did was done with grace and a genuine devotion to care. Elaine continued her nursing career while bringing five children into the world and had a way of making everything special. She was an extraordinary seamstress and talented cook and made every holiday and birthday so beautiful and special. While residing in Wesftord, MA, Elaine volunteered at the schools, church and was a member of the garden club. She went on to complete a bachelor's and master's degree in HCA. Elaine and Clarence retired to Alfred, Maine, where she continued to serve the public as a member of the historical society, the town of Alfred's Zoning Board of Appeals, Festival Committee and was secretary of the Alfred Republican Committee. Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Clarence D Beal Jr., whom she Married July 7, 1957; as well as her five children, Marilyn Louise Beal and her partner, Al Ladd, Clarence D. Beal III and his wife, Khristine Hopkins, Catherine (Beal) Wells and her husband, Tony Wells, Stephen Beal, and Allison (Beal) Walls and her husband, George Walls III. In addition, Elaine has eight grandchildren, Maximillian Beal and his wife, Marissa Beal, Tom Beal, Rob Beal, Michael Beal and wife, Rose Lopez, Christopher Wells, Stephen Wells, Alex Walls, and Carter Walls."

[6480] His sister, Jill, reported in January, 2001: "Jack Everett Goode attended public schools in the Augusta, Maine area until moving to Jacksonville Beach, Florida in August 1965 with his mother and sisters. He did not finish High School but went into the Army. Later he got his G.E.D. while in the Army. He served two years five months and eight days. He was stationed overseas in Korea and served time in Viet Nam. It is said that Viet Nam changed a lot of the Soldiers and had many affects on each of them. I feel Jack was no exception. He was not the same after returning home for Viet Nam. Jack worked as a heavy equipment operator for companies in the August, Maine area after being honorably discharged from the Army September 11, 1968 and again after being honorably discharged April 25, 1972, and remained in the Augusta area until his untimely death. He was a warm, kind and loving man to his family and friends." Baptised in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Augusta, he was later a Methodist." Jack m. Jeanne Gail Solberg.
