She was also an avid traveller, spending time in Kenya, India, Afghanistan and Australia.

Find A Grave memorial 90092522 offers: "Francis Perkins, son of Jacob and Mary Perkins first married Esther Colburn on 29 Nov 1781 in Hanover, New London Co. CT. Esther died on 13 Feb 1828 at the age of 69. Francis then remarried Saloma Morgan-Dye (first wife of Joshua Dye)on 2 Apr 1836 according to the Revolutionary War records. rancis was in the American Revolution War and drew a pension up until his death in 1844 and he is also in the Middletown History records and is in the Early Barbour records as far as his birth date is concerned. There is a record that I am posting stating where he was buried however I understand that "Old Cemetery" and Middletown Springs Cemetery are the same."
