[57946] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 19 May 2023: "Ellsworth - Beverly Marie Barlow, 67, died peacefully at home in Ellsworth, Maine, on May 17, 2023, with family by her side. Beverly was born September 16, 1955, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of John S. and Margaret P. (Tupper) Peakall. Beverly lived and grew up on South Street in Calais, Maine. She graduated from Calais Memorial High School, class of 1973, and went on to graduate from Casco Bay College in Portland in 1975 with an associate degree in Secretarial Sciences. Beverly worked for 40 years as senior accountant at Ellsworth Builders Supply. Beverly enjoyed antiquing and yard sales and ran her 'Got to Have It' antiques and collectables business for many years in Brewer, various Ellsworth antique establishments, and most recently at The Old Creamery Antique Mall in Ellsworth. Beverly was a fun-spirited soul who took on many passions and will be missed and remembered by the many lives she touched. Beverly was an accomplished pianist who enjoyed playing classical music. Her hobbies included completing sudoku and crossword puzzles, cooking, swimming, cross-country skiing, flower gardening adding bloom and seasonal color, feeding the birds and birdwatching, ceramics, stained glass, stenciling, karate, and antiquing. Beverly enjoyed the peace and serenity of her backyard with its fire pit, flower gardens, benches, and flowering trees. She enjoyed sitting on her park benches in the back yard enjoying her property and gardens watching the seasons pass. One of her favorite places was the ocean and walking along the beach. Beverly was an active prayer warrior in her church and was a woman of strong faith praising and worshipping the Lord at the Pentecostal Church of Life and Praise in Ellsworth. Beverly is survived by her husband of 47 years, Timothy of Ellsworth; her faithful service dog, Dickens; brother, Myron Peakall and nieces, Angela Christine Mueller, Stephanie Lynne Bosse and Jessica Miranda Peakall; brother, Jeffrey Peakall, niece, Katelyn Leslie, and nephew, Jeremy Peakall; and special friend and sister in the Lord, Beth Berry. Beverly was predeceased by father, John Stanley Peakall; mother, Margaret Phoebe (Tupper) Peakall; older brother, John S. Peakall Jr.; and her loving dogs, Chrissy Jingles, Morgan, Sammy, Sally, and Pee Wee Beverly and Timothy wish to express their heartfelt love and gratitude to Jeffery and Wanda Barlow for their ongoing family support and their gifts of time and assistance. The family wishes to thank Northern Light Home Care & Hospice for their caring, kindness and support, which is very much appreciated. The family also wishes to express their gratitude and special thank you to the pastors and congregation of the Ellsworth Church of Life and Praise for their love, prayers, and support."
