[59319] Kevin's obituary: "Levant - Kevin S. Call Sr., 59, passed away unexpectedly May 7, 2025, at his home. He was born January 4, 1966, in Bangor, the son of Galen and Edna (Thayer) Call. Kevin graduated from Hermon High School, Class of 1984, where he was a member of the Levant Junior Firefighters. He served his community in several capacities, joining the Anah Shrine Academicians in 2013, and then moved to the Anah Shrine Wheelers in 2021, where he loved driving his parade truck throughout the summer months. He was the Anah Shrine Wheelers Treasurer for 1½ years and a Mason at the Olive Branch #124 Lodge A.F. & A.M., of Charleston, since 2012. He was also a member of the Maine Truck and Tractor Pullers Association, where he was President for 5 years and Vice President for 5 years as well as a member of the Maine State Truck and Tractor Pullers Association, where he was Vice President for 6 years, on the Board of Directors for many years. He had been a points tractor pulling champion for a couple of years that he pulled. He was a great mentor, mechanic, and weightlifter for Kevin Jr and Natasha. He was greatly respected by all pullers and will be greatly missed. Kevin loved working on the numerous Minneapolis Moline tractors owned by the family since 1983. His garage time with Galen and Gene was quality family bonding time. He was a member of the Hungry Hollow 76ers Snowmobile Club for many years as well as trail master for a couple of years and a member of the Penobscot Snowmobile Club for the past 5 years. He was a member of the Apple Hill Stable Rodeo Committee since 2021, Central Maine Quarter Scale Lawn & Garden Tractor Pullers and enjoyed spending the weekends with Natasha at all of the pulling events. Kevin was a member of the Town of Levant Budget committee from 2006 to 2019, as well as a member of the Town of Levant Planning Board from 2006 to present. All the while serving his community and participation of various clubs, he still found time to drive for 11 years for Pepsi after he graduated from High School. Shortly after, he was the Chief Engineer for the Marriott and continued as Chief Engineer when the hotel changed names to Four Points by Sheraton. Kevin met his wife, Tammie 28 years ago at the Four Points by Sheraton and have been married for the past 26 years. He owned and operated Nason Call Inc for 12 years with his buddy, Bruce Nason, snowplowing for the Town of Glenburn and the Town of Levant. He has owned and operated his ground construction company, Call Construction LLC, for the past 30 years. Kevin and his wife Tammie started a portable restroom rental adventure in 2022 and have had a lot of fun together. He has absolutely loved working for such a wonderful community. Kevin loved playing cribbage with his family every Saturday and Sunday morning. The tradition has been ongoing for the past 26 years. He was well-known for helping anyone and everyone with anything they needed. He was always a phone call away. He was a proud parent when he got to fly alone to Tennessee and bring his son, Neil home from the military. He loved their road trip driving back to Maine together. He loved the shenanigans that would develop when he was with his best buddies Kevin Curry and Arthur Hodgdon. Every time the boys got together, you never knew where they would end up. In addition to his parents, Kevin was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Harold L. and Pauline (Shapleigh) Call; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Grace (Bubier) Thayer; son, Kevin S. Call Jr. and granddaughter, Sophia L. Hebert-Call. In addition to his loving wife of 26 years, Tammie, he is survived by his son, Neil Call, of Levant; daughter, Natasha (Call) Dunham and her husband, Steve, of Levant; a grandbaby boy, Dunham, arriving soon; sister, Louise Call, of Old Town; brothers, Steve Call and his wife, Dawn (Giddings), of Levant and Gene Call and his wife, Lori (Grondin), of Levant; nephew, Ryan Call, of Levant; niece, Megan (Call) Dube and her husband, Taylor; great-nephews, Dominic, James and Lucas, of Hermon."
