They traveled throughout the Maritime Provinces in Canada, as well as other places in Maine and New Hampshire. Each fall they camped in the White Mountains, again shared with all of his family and many friends. Eugene and Esther took frequent drives along the coast, and Schoodic was another favorite place for walks and picnics. Eugene was a talented man of many skills, always eager to help others with home projects. He built his own home in 1962, helped build homes for each of his three sons, worked on his daughter's home projects and later did many projects and renovations for his grandchildren's homes. Eugene loved being part of his grandchildren's lives and attended many years of sporting events and school activities. He loved playing golf with friends and family.
