Garverich, 71, of 336 North Thoman St., Crestline, died this morning in Fairview Manor Nursing Home, Bucyrus. He had been ill for the past several months. Mr. Garverick was a native of Richland County, a graduate of Johnsville High School and Cincinnati College of Embalming. He was a funeral director in Crestline for 35 years, moving there from Utica. He was engaged as a funeral director for 45 years. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, was a 33 year member of the Kiwanis Club, a member of the Odd Fellows, and the Knights of Pythias. Mr. Garverick was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Galion Elks lodge. He is survived by his wife, Maude M.; and two daughters, Mrs. Willard (Maxine) Light of Bucyrus, and Mrs. Luther (Margaret) Lamb of Crestline; one son, John C. of Alexandria, Va.; 11 grandchildren; one great -grandson; one sister, Mrs. Gar Smith of Mt. Gilead and three brothers, Dr. Calvin C. of Long Beach, Calif., Irvin of Mt. Vernon and Meryl J. of Crestline. Services will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the Garverick Home of Snyder and Kubach Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles P. Beronius will officiate. Burial will be in Shauck Cemetery."
