[57903] Find A Grave memorial 240584406 offers: "Stephen was the son of Elkanah and Fannie (Munson) Hanscom. He married Sarah "Sally" Hathaway April 21, 1836 in Crawford Maine and they had three children together. Stephen died quite suddenly prior to 1850 leaving Sally to raise their three children. Sally died in 1859 and the children were then raised by Hathaway relatives. Sally is buried in the East Machias Village Cemetery East Machias Maine, her headstone almost completely covered now by the earth. Oldest son Elkanah is also buried in this cemetery, I am placing Stephen here to connect his wife, children and mother."
