[22713] http://acasun.eckerd.edu/~oberhot/nevers-history.htm reports that according to a "1911 encyclopedia, "Mahaut de Bourbon brought the county of Nevers, together with those of Auxerre and Tonnerre, to her husband Odo (Eudes), son of Hugh IV., duke of Burgundy, in 1248. Her eldest daughter, Yoland, received the county of Nevers as her dowry when in 1265 she married Jean Tristan, son of King Louis IX. She became a widow in 1270, and in 1272 married Robert de Dampierre, who became count of Flanders. Her descendant by her second marriage, Marguerite, daughter and heiress of Louis II. de Male, count of Flanders, married successively two dukes of Burgundy, Philip I. de Rouvre and Philip II. the Bold. Philip (d. 1415), the third son of Philip the Bold, received the counties of Nevers and of Rethel and the barony of Donzy. His last male descendant, John, died in 1491." http://www.guide2womenleaders.com offers: "Also known as Mathilde II, she was daughter of Yolande de Châtillon-sur-Marne and Archambault IX de Dampierre, Seigneur de Bourbon - Count and Countess of Tonnerre. She succeeded her grandmother, Mahaut I, (Countess of Nevers 1199, Countess of Auxerre and Tonnerre 1219) in the other posessions, and was joint ruler with her husband Eudes de Bourgogne (d. 1269). After her death in 1262, her husband administered the counties until his death, and after that they remained vacant until her three daughters received their inheritance in 1273. Alix de Bourgogne became Countess of Auxerre; Yolande became Countess of Nevers and Marguerite Countess of Tonnerre." Cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maud_of_Dampierre.

[41239] Find A Grave Memorial 137342217 offers: "Mary Fiske was one of four daughters born to William Fiske and his unknown wife, probably in Laxfield, Suffolk, England. According to Candlers pedigree, William fled for religion in the dayes of Q Mary. He must have fled to South Elmham, Suffolk. Mary was born about 1551. In 1579, she proved her fathers will in South Elmham. After that date, she married Robert Lawter. They had four children. Their son, Joseph, killed his father and was executed at Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. Two of their daughters married cousins named Fiske. Mary wrote her will on September 24, 1619 in South Elmham and it was proved on November 24, 1620. Mary died in South Elmham in 1620 and was buried in the churchyard of St. James' Church in South Elmham."
