[12157] Sir William was "of Huntingfield." http://www.geneajourney.com/hntgfld.html reports "In Oct 1257, his mother Joan purchased the wardship of his lands. She was evidently "aggrieved with debt" and in 1258, by notice of the King, the tenants of Roger de Huntingfield, deceased, were requested to "make a competent aid to Joan, late his wife". Roger took part against the King in the Barons War, but was pardoned in Jul 1267. He was summoned for military service from 6 Mar 1263/64 to 14 Jun 1287, and to attend the King at Shrewsbury 28 Jun 1283. He married Emma, daughter of John de Grey by his first wife, Emma, daughter of Geoffrey de Glanville and sister and coheir of another Geoffrey de Glanville. She predeceased him." Alice is survived by three daughters, Sharon Farnsworth and her husband, Peter of Stratton, Patricia Howard and her husband, Bill of Trenton and Mary Gordius and her husband, Brian of Bass Harbor; two brothers, John Fox and his wife, Reta of Ellsworth and Arthur Fox and his wife, Hazel of Trenton; two sisters, Mary Kelley of Trenton and Sylvia Moon and her husband, Rodney of Ellsworth; grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua, Katherine, Jason, Jaime, Corey and Kayla; special nieces and nephews. [15714] Joshua was a prosperous merchant and it is recorded in the journal of Francis Asbury, first Bishop of the Methodist Church in America, that he had visited Joshua on several occasions. Joshua and Jemima lived at Batavia, OH where it is reported there are a lot of Pigmans.
