[1716] An illegitimate son, he was given the central Pyrenean valleys and the title "king of Aragón." He soon incorporated Sobrava and Ribagorza into his new kingdom (1037). http://www.san.beck.org/AB17-FeudalEurope.html reports "Ramiro was killed by Saracens at the siege of Grados in 1063 and was succeeded in Aragón by his son Sancho Ramirez." [54196] The unverified file L2V8-46Z in familysearch.org offers: "When Eva M Stone was born on 30 January 1928, in Maine, United States, her father, Frank Preston Stone, was 24 and her mother, Vesta Pearl Bragg, was 20. She married Lewis D Shaw on 31 March 1945, in Maine, United States. She lived in Parkman, Piscataquis, Maine, United States for about 15 years. She died on 16 January 1994, at the age of 65, and was buried in Abbot Village, Abbot, Kennebec, Massachusetts, United States."
[1027] John is probably son of Thomas and Ruth Tisdale who was baptised 7 Nov 1614 at Ripon, Yorkshire, England. He emigrated during or prior to 1636, settling on 10 acres at Green Harbor, Mass. He was constable at Duxbury, 1645; moved to Taunton, 1650; owned land now in Berkley, Mass., on the Taunton River; constable of Taunton, 1655 & 1659; selectman, 1650, 1658, 1662, 1675; Representative of Taunton to the Plymouth General Court, 1674; etc. He and Sarah are buried in the Tisdale burying grounds overlooking the Taunton River near Assonet, Mass. {Ref."The Descendants of John Tisdale," by Robert Lee Tisdale, 1981; "Meet the Tisdales," by Rosa D. Tisdale (Baltimore: Gateway Press, 1981).} "Descendants of Philip Walker," on the Web at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~batemanp/pilgrims/test0001.htm, offers: "When ['King'] Philip escaped from Mt. Hope, in '75, a part of his warriors scattered in the wilderness, about Taunton, and burnt the houses of James Walker, and John Tisdale, his brother in law. John Tisdale was killed, and 2 other soldiers, who were from Eastham. Though Baylies states this as in 1675, may not the "two houses" burnt July 11th, '76, have been those of J. W. and J. T. It is known that John Tisdlale was killed June 27, '76." See "Pioneers of Massachusetts - 1620-1650," Charles Henry Pope (Boston: New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2013), p. 456.
