[44285] See Ray Kohler' files in "Kohler Klan and Kissin Kin" at https://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com for information and descendants which notes "Land along the Tuscarora Creek was taken up by survey prior to 1759, and after several earlier sales, in 1792, 218 acres on the Tuscarora Creek were solt to Lawrence King, "King Tammany." King laid out a town, which he called Saint Tammany's Town, now Old Port. A store, tavern and distillery were there and, in about 1833, Alex Magonigle became the store proprietor and established a post office. It is believed that he was instrumental in having it named Port Royal in 1833."
