"Bangor Daily News [ Bangor, Maine]," 28 December 2022: "Belfast - Ervin E. Merry, 95, passed away on December 24, 2022, at Tall Pines. He was born in Belfast on October 14, 1927, to John Sr. and Sadie (Dyer) Merry. He married Faustina L. Thompson of Swanville on April 25, 1951. Ervin left this old world for a better place with his wife by his side. He is now home with his Lord and Saviour. He loved getting right down on the floor playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ervin was always quite a jokester and loved his sweets - especially Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Moxie. Until his last days, he could be heard praying and singing hymns.
Ervin, also lovingly known as Dad and Papa, had many different jobs throughout his long life. He loved working for himself. In the early years, he raised many thousands of chickens with his dad and bought and sold various goods and antiques until 5 years ago when he developed dementia. Ervin is survived by his wife, Faustina; his children, Judy M. and Gary Arsenault of Plymouth, Jeffrey E. Merry and Shirley of Searsport and Valerie J. and Vernon Nickerson of Frankfort; his grandchildren, Katie and Mike Lee, Matthew and Ashley Jackson, and Brandi and Sadie Nickerson; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Earl, John Jr., and Elwood; and sisters, Marie Opdahl, Ina Moulton, Mildred Sylvester, and Ruthie Robbins."

[2290] "Sancho II Garcias...devoted himself to the political organization of his kingdom" - Encycl.Brit., 1956, 21:117. http://www.gordonbanks.com/gordon/family/2nd_Site/geb-p/p113.htm states "He married Urraca Fernandez, daughter of Count Fernán González of Castile and Sancha of Navarre, in 962. He married Teresa Iniquez of Aragon, daughter of King Ramiro II Ordoñez of Leon and Adosinda Gutierrez. He died in December 994. He was buried at Monastery of St. John de la Pena." Cf. http://www.friesian.com/perifran.htm#navarre and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sancho_II_Garcés.
[57936] Jerusha is said to be daughter of Arthur Scoville (1734-1819) & Jemima Coldwell (1740-1819; m. in 1765 in Kings Co., Nova Scotia, Canada).
[12052] Merwin was a Seventh-day Adventist minister. In 1995 Josephine was residing in Loma Linda, CA. He is possibly the only Merwin Thurber in the Social Security death index, which reports he was b. 18 Dec 1903 and d. 19 Feb 1991. The 1940 federal census in Tacoma Park, Montgomery Co., MD (a suburb of Washington DC) lists Merwin (age 36, b. in OH) as head of household which includes his wife Josephine (age 35, b. in TN), Merwin's father-in-law George Wells (age 70, b. in OH, a clergyman with the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church)) and Merwin's sister-in-law Evelyn Wells (age 40, b. in TN, a stenographer), and states Merwin is an editor with a publishing firm (probably that of the Seventh-day Adventist Church which is headquartered in Tacoma Park).
