She had seven children with John Clements Johnston and four other children. She died in 1960 in Mansfield, Ohio, at the age of 76, and was buried in Bucyrus, Ohio." "News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 14 January 1960," p. 3: "Mrs. Inez Johnston, 75, of 118 Bowman St., widow of John C. Johnston and a Shelby resident, died yesterday in Mansfield General Hospitai after an illness of months. Mrs. Johnston was a member of the First Methodist church at Shelby. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Clarence Yohn and Mrs. Garland Gates of Mansfield, Mrs. Paul Foote of Seneca Falls, N. Y., and Mrs. Floyd Snavely of Denver, Colo,; three sons, Robert of Norwalk, Calif., Hershel Wilmington, Del., and Carl of Detroit; 22 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Bruce Erzinger of San Bernadino, Calif.; and one sister, Antonia Erzinger of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday at the Dye Funeral Home, Shelby, with the Rev. Carl Grim, pastor of the Ganges United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Sandusky Cemetery, Crawford County."
