McAllister, Esq., of this borough, died at her residence in New Buffalo on the 18th ult, in the 84th year of her age. Her father owned the land on which that town is built and it is said she carried the chain when the site was surveyed She was the widow of Alexander McAllister, Esq., who died about ten years ago. To them was born six children: Esther; Joseph; Samuel; David; Jacob and Abraham." - page 22: " Samuel Brillhart, who helped build the Mennonite Church, located a few miles from the present town of Hanover in 1746, was a member and minister of that denomination and helped to care for his people and traveled many miles to preach to little flocks of the like faith, scattered in the colonies of Lancaster and Chester counties." <
