She was a member of the Blaine Free Baptist Church, where she had been active with the Ladies Mission organizations. She was a president, vice president and chaplain of William Cousins Post No.118 American Legion Womens Auxiliary in Mars Hill. She had also been active in RSVP, the Mars Hill Senior Citizens and the Golden Age Club. She is survived by 3 daughters, Opal Touchard of Woelder, TX., Shirleen Wheeler of Easton and Joy Hobbs of Crystal River. FL., 4 sons, Raymond Kinney of Mapleton, Laurence Kinney of Houlton, Robert Kinney of Blaine and Carl Kinney of Independence, MO., 22 grand children, 20 great grandchildren, a sister, Bessie Elkins of Millinocket,a brother Enoch Tompkins of Shelburne, VT., several nieces and nephews.
