Mr. Haskell, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Haskell, was born in Surry in 1865. He worked as a plumber for Hiram Norton in Bar Harbor as a young man and later took up the trade of barbering, moving to Northeast Harbo.r He was a charter member and past noble grand of Ocean lodge I.O.O.F. here and a member of the Mount Desert encampment. Mr. Haskell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clara (McKenney) Haskell; two sons, Dr. G. Merrill of Northeast Harbor and John M., member of the faculty of Bridgton academy; a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Trafton of Swampscott, Mass.; and two grandsons, Sterling E. Haskell and Thomas Trafton."
[7129] Deborah was living in Orland, ME in 1907. Her husband and some of their children are buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Orland, ME, including an infant son who d. 30 April 1879. The unverified IGI file states that Deborah is daughter of Heman [sic] Higgins and Mary Gross.

Mr. McAllister was born Jan. 10, 1925, in Carlisle, the son of the late Arch and Mary (Crum) McAllister. He was a World War II Army veteran and landed on Omaha Beach as part of the first wave of D-Day. He was a self-employed plasterer working with his brother as McAllister Brothers. He was a member of Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale; Shermans Dale Fire Company; Shermans Dale Ambulance; Shermans Dale Lions Club; New Bloomfield VFW Post 7463; and Millerstown Moose Lodge. He loved square dancing and was a member of CPCA and AFMA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching baseball games and, most importantly, his family. He was the widower of Panzie L. McAllister and was predeceased by a brother, John McAllister. He is survived by a son, Darwin G. McAllister, and a daughter, Brenda M.
