[48449] Find A Grave memorial 27075077 offers: "Shearjashub (2), son of Hon. Ezra Bourne, was born April 18, 1721, died February 9, 1781. He graduated from Harvard College in the class of 1743, and removed from Sandwich, Massachusetts, to Bristol, Rhode Island in 1748. He taught school thereafter five years. He afterwards was a prominent lawyer. He served on the committee on resolution of the town of Bristol, February 16, 1774, protesting against the attitude and acts of the Bristish government. He bought the house lately owned by James De Wolf Perry, built by Nathaniel Bosworth in 1680. During the bombardment by the British in 1775 the house was struck repeatedly, and when repairs were made in 1862 several grape shot fell from the parlor ceiling. In 1778, Mr. Bourne became chief justice of the supreme court of Rhode Island, serving in that position until his death in 1781. He married April 19, 1747, Ruth (Bosworth) Church, widow of Nathaniel Church and descendant of Nathaniel Bosworth. Children, born at Bristol: Martha, born August 15, 1748, Shearjashub, mentioned below; Benjamin, September 9, 1755 died September 17 1808. - Excerpted from New England Families, Genealogical and Memorial: A Record of the ..., Volume 2; edited by William Richard Cutter; page 683."

[61837] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 28 December 2009: "Seal Cove and Bar Harbor - Frances G. Reed, 92, died Dec. 25, 2009, at a Mount Desert Island hospital with her family by her side, after a long illness. She was born March 24, 1917, in Bass Harbor, the daughter of Frank and Lucy (Mitchell) Gott. Frances worked many years in Northeast Harbor, cleaning many of the large summer estates. She then worked for Stinson Canning Co. for a few years. She enjoyed cooking very much especially bread, biscuits and pies. Frances also loved to make fudge and give it to her friends and neighbors. Frances is survived by her loving and loyal husband of 69 years, Percy T. Reed. In June they would have had their 70th wedding anniversary. She is also survived by her only child, Brenda Bartlett and husband, Charles, of whom she was very fond of. She has three grandchildren, Duane Bartlett and wife, Robin, of Trenton, Christopher Bartlett and wife, Tracy, of Newport, N.H., and Matthew Bartlett and wife, Lori, of Bar Harbor. She was so proud of the grandsons and the 12 great-grandchildren, one great-greatgrandson and looking forward to the newest family member which is due in June; a sister, Ida Richards of Hancock; many nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Juanita Stanley, Ned Finney and wife, Leigh and all the Finney family."

[37913] This person is from the unverified Smilie Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2014 which states Hezekiah m. (2) in 1740 Grace Hatch.
[36538] Margaret's information is from the unverified Sprague Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2014. Ancestry.com offers: "Palmer Name Meaning - English: from Middle English, Old French palmer, paumer (from palme, paume 'palm tree', Latin palma), a nickname for someone who had been on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Such pilgrims generally brought back a palm branch as proof that they had actually made the journey, but there was a vigorous trade in false souvenirs, and the term also came to be applied to a cleric who sold indulgences."
