They were the parents of eight children. Elisha was a descendant of the Pilgrim Richard Warren through his mother, Sarah Thaxter.
The will of Elisha Dunbar of Bridgewater, yeoman; date October 9, 1772, proved December 6, 1773, names wife Mercy; daughter Abigail Gilmore, wife of Andrew; sons Jacob, Elisha, Seth, Peter and Silas Dunbar."
[9450] Roy is son of Samuel Gordon and Catherine Elizabeth Leonard. The News-Sun [Newport, PA], 28 July 1977, p. 2: Roy S. Gordon, 71, of Millerstown RD 1, died last Tuesday at his home. He was a retired employee of Murray's Garage, New Bloomfield, and a member of St Matthew's Lutheran Church and the church council, Newport RD. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Esther S. Gordon; two daughters. Mrs. Virginia Viggio, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Mrs. Peggy F. Sowers, of Millerstown RD 1; a sister Mrs. Blanche Wertz, of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, and a great-grand son. Services were held Saturday at the funeral home in Loysville, with the Rev. Paul W. Case, his pastor, officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery.
