[28872] Owen's obituary 27 Dec 2008 in The Bangor Daily News: "Orland - Owen 'Buddy' Lyford Gray Jr., 64, passed away in his sleep on Christ-mas day, Dec. 25, 2008. Born June 8, 1944, he was the son of Owen Lyford Gray Sr. and Clara Mae (Henderson) Gray. Buddy served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, earning several military medals, as well as two Purple Hearts. Buddy was a loving husband, father, brother and a wonderful papa to all his grandchildren, whom he loved so much. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, and he was member of Bucksport Rod and Gun Club. Buddy was loved by and will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 32 years, Sherry (Littlefield) Gray; one son, Bruce Gray and his wife, Gale; two daughters, Laurie McAllian and husband, Michael, and Lynnette Libby and husband, Dean; grandchildren, Nichole (Gray) Bowden and husband, Nicholas, Sheena (Soper) Cottle and husband, Willy, David Soper, Amanda Saunders-McAllian and fiance, Brandon Hutchins, Joseph Soper and James McAllian; brothers, Robert Gray and wife, Kathy, Arthur Gray and wife, Edye, and Kenneth Gray and wife, Sheila; as well as special brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many close personal friends. He was predeceased by his parents."
