[5002] Thomas was taken prisoner at Homildon in 1402 and was afterward a hostage for the king. It is said that he died in England. His daughter Euffame married Sir Alexander Cumyn of Altyre. Thomas' son, Thomas, was Earl of Moray in 1408 when he signed his sister's marriage-contract; he was succeeded as earl by his cousin, James de Dunbar (q.v.).
