[16889] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 27 November 2025: "Mariaville, Maine - Ronald O. Bragg Sr., age 82, passed away on November 20, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born June 26, 1943, in Bangor, the son of Robert Sr. and Mary Foster Bragg. He was known by many as Ron, Big Ron, Captain Ron, Dad, Papa, and Pup. Ronald graduated from Brewer High School, class of 1961. He worked for many years in the telecommunications industry, beginning with MA Bell, New England Telephone, NYNEX, Verizon, OTT Communications, and Union River Telephone. Ron was involved with the placement of the fiber optic lines throughout Hancock, Washington, and Penobscot counties. Ronald was a founding member of the Mariaville Volunteer Fire Department, Graham Lake Trail Riders, a member of Mariaville Grange, and a lifetime Anah Temple Shriner. Ron was an original founder of the Go-Kart Unit. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time on his beloved party boat. And he even looked forward to his Sunday dump run! A big thank you to neighbors, Jeff and Karen Weaver for watching out for him. Another huge thank you goes out to Alisa (the daughter he never had) and his granddaughter, Ashlee for his care over the past few years. In 1963 Ronald married Beverly, and together they raised two sons. Most summers were spent at their place on Graham Lake and then winters in Dade City, Florida, where they shared many cherished memories with lifelong friends, Gordon and Connie Lawrence, John and Ruth Plourde, and Jim and Ruth Newcomb. They even found time to get into a little trouble with dear friends, Herb and Jane Bragdon, Dick and Rosie Kear, and Dave Magoon Sr. throughout the years! Ron was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Beverly; his brother, Larry; and brother-in-law, David. He is survived by his brother, Robert Bragg Jr. (Judy) of Ellsworth; and sister, Shirley Kerns of Clifton. He is also survived by his sons, Ronald Jr. (Wanda) and Randy of Mariaville; four grandchildren, Ashlee Leighton Bragg (Dashawn) of Hermon, Jared Bragg (Mariah) of Mariaville, Jacob Bragg (Briana) of Mariaville, and Jaxson Bragg of Brewer; and eight great-grandchildren, Amara, Dashawn Jr., Aura, Tylee, Kavon, Hadlee, Shakur, and Carson. Ronald will be remembered for his love for his family, his countless friends, and the joy he found when friends and family got together." Ronald and Beverly had Ronald Owen [Jr.] (7 April 1964) and Randy Eugene (16 May 1966).

[55289] "Bangor Daily News [Bangvor, Maine]," 11 December 2023: "Greenville - James 'Jim' P. Chandler Jr. passed away unexpectedly at home in the early morning hours of December 7, 2023. Jim was born on July 18, 1947, in Rockland, to James P. Chandler, Sr. and Helen (Pierzanowski) Chandler. He grew up in Monroe and Swanville, and graduated from Crosby High School in 1966. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War where during his time in training, Jim met his soulmate, Karen Forsgren, while attending the Great Lakes Naval Training Academy in Chicago, Illinois. They were married and moved to Maine in the early 1970s. After attending the University of Maine in Orono and graduating with a degree in Forestry, Jim and Karen moved to Greenville, where he spent his career as a forester and road superintendent for a paper company in the northwest woods of Maine. His favorite years were those spent working as the road superintendent for S.D. Warren out of the Marshall Yard on the Capital Road. He was a 20-year veteran of the Greenville volunteer fire department and served for 15 years on the local planning board. He loved spending time in the great outdoors, hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed many family get-togethers. Jim's family spent many summer vacations traveling to Wisconsin, to visit relatives on Karen's side of the family. With a great sense of humor and love of telling stories Jim was always looking for someone to talk to wherever he went. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karen, of Greenville; his son, Everett, wife, Joan, and daughters, Grace and Emily, of Newburyport, MA; his son, Bill, wife, Lenore, and daughter, Lindsey, of Greenville; his son, Zach, wife, Amanda, of Shirley; his son, Josh, fiancé, Blake, with their children; Jim's great-grandchildren, Everett and Emmett of Jackman; and last but not least his daughter, Heather Farrington, husband, Jason, and sons, Sam, Alex, Andrew, and Ethan, of Gray."

[2428] Piastus is said to have m. Repicha _____. The descent from Piastus is somewhat doubtful {ref.: "Royal Ancestors of Magna Charta Barons," Carr P. Collins, Jr., Dallas, 1959, p. 205}.
[2800] His obituary in the Akron Beacon-Journal 28 July 2008: "John Roman, 68 years, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ July 27, 2008 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He was born and raised in Akron and lived in Springfield Twp. for 36 years before moving to Hartville. John retired as a conductor from AC&Y Railroad after 40 years of service and was also an international auditor for U.T.U. He was an active member of The Chapel and after retirement enjoyed numerous trips with his Prime Time Chapel family. John was well known for his gardening and shared the fruits of his labor with friends and family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather; a man of great depth and gentle spirit. John was quick witted and made us all laugh, especially his grandchildren. He was dearly loved by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his father, John Roman Sr., he is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Twyla; daughters, Lisa (Richard) Kayes, and Sharyl (Stacey) Gregerson; grandchildren, John and Carrie Kayes, Lyndsey, Kayla and Allyson Gregerson; mother, Dorothy Roman; sisters, Pat Korfas, JoAnn Rowe, and Linda Holbrook . . .
