[50168] "Bangor Daily News [ Bangor, Maine], 20 June 2020": "Bangor - Nina Bowden Hansen, 91, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2020, with her children by her side. Her legacy of love for family, her students and her community will live forever in the hearts of the those whose lives she touched. She was born in Bangor, Maine, to Grace and Irving Bowden. She attended Bangor schools and graduated from Husson College and the University of Maine. She married her husband, Sidney, in 1951, and together they raised their children, Eric, Cynthia and Joel. She made it her life's mission to bestow upon her family, friends and students as much attention, good humor, compassion, encouragement, and fun as she could. Nina was devoted to her family and her love was unconditional. She always wanted her family to look out for each other as well as for those less fortunate. She held the heart of a public servant. Her powers of persuasion were legendary and at times relentless. If you were not initially inclined to do the right thing, you were always thankful you did whatever she 'gently' encouraged you to do. She was a lifelong member of Hammond Street Congregational Church and proud to be part of a welcoming and inclusive congregation. She found joy in the fellowship, serving on the Diaconate and Christian Outreach Committee and volunteering at the food cupboard. Teaching was more than a vocation for Nina; she loved nurturing and educating each soul that entered her classroom. She taught in Winterport, at St John's in Bangor, and at Kenduskeag Elementary. In retirement, she was a substitute teacher in the Bangor School system. In addition to her parents, Irving and Grace Bowden, she was predeceased by her husband, Sidney Hansen; son, Eric Hansen; sister, Shirlie Knight; brothers, Irving and Gordon Bowden; as well as dear sisters and brothers-in-law, and nieces. She is survived by her son, Joel Hansen and wife, Gayle, of Hermon; her daughter, Cynthia Reid and husband, David, of Bangor; and five grandchildren, Erica King, Hayley Adams, Ansley Moore, Joshua Hansen, and Kristin Hanegan. She adored her great-grandsons, Josiah and Jonah King, Dylan and Beckett Moore, and Cooper Hanegan. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Marlene Donahue and Linda Hansen. She treasured all her nieces and nephews, Sheri Severance and Peggy Pupkis were especially dear. Nina doted on all; relations near and distant, cousins, in-laws, ex-laws, steps, and friends. Once you were in the family circle you stayed there forever. Those folks are happily too numerous to mention, but if you were fortunate enough to be part of that circle then you know how much she valued you. For the past decade, EAAA's Novel Senior Book Group, Penobscot County Retired Teachers and her local AARP chapter kept her active and engaged. Many people supported her independence, comforted her and made her laugh, Florence Conley, Connie Kilcomins, Connie Insley, Jeanne Baker, Gary Lowe, and Greg and Sally McManus among them. A celebration of life will be held later this summer. She perennially advised others to live their faith and to be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving of one another - acts of kindness or forgiveness would honor her memory."

Find A Grave memorial 144304107 offers:
Joan was the daughter of Henry Fitzhenry and Joan de Fourneux.
She first married William Fitzralph Greystoke. After his death she married Sir Anthony de Luci (nephew of her husband's first wife Lucy de Lucy). After his death in the Holy Lands in 1368 she married Sir Matthew de Redman or Redmayne IV (born before 1329 at Levens hall, Cumbria) who died in 1390. He was governor of Roxburgh and Berwick.
Her children with Sir Greystoke were:
1-Ralph de Greystoke (born Oct 18 1353 in Kirby, Ravenswor, Yorkshire) 1418 Ravensworth married Catherine de Clifford
2-Alice de Greystoke (born abt 1355 in Greystoke, Northumberland) 1377 married Sir Robert de Harrington and died soon after
3-William de Greystoke (born abt 1357 in Greystoke, Northumberland)
4-Robert de Greystoke (born abt 1359 in Greystoke, Northumberland) married Elizabeth de Neville
Lucy was buried in the Clerkenwell Parish of London. There is only one churchyard cemetery dating to medieval times- St. James. A more logical assumption (since she was the widow of a knight) might be that she was buried in the crypt of Clerkenwell Priory Church of St. John (originally for the Knights of St. John and rebuilt as a second parish church for Clerkenwell). However, Findagrave makes no mention of the Priory having a burial ground. Therefore she is being placed in St. James unless further information becomes available regarding the Priory Crypt. Findagrave may be calling it the Hospitallers. Additionally, St. James Church and St. James Cemetery appear to be the same place.

Georg is the eldest son and was born in Albany or Greenwich Twp., Berks Co., PA; is on tax list for Greenwich Twp. in 1758 and in the 1780 tax list as George Loy. He married Rebecca Bossert and Elizabetha _____ (in what order is not known). He inherited 150 acres from his father. The LDS Church's Ancestral File states he d. 1804 and is buried at Stony Run, Berks Co., PA [not verified].
Received via e-mail 27 April 2000:
I found your website via Dolores Walls "The Complete Loy History". I was interested to find Georg Loy b. ca. 1737, son of Matthias Loy in your database. Mühlschlägel researchers have always said that Georg's daughter, Maria Catharine, was the wife of George Heinrich Mühlschlägel of Virginia. Still, doubts have been raised as to the probability because of Maria's age (marriage age would have been 12!). This week I received a copy of Georg Loy's last will and testament and wanted to share it with you.
------------------
Will of George Leh/Ley, June 6, 1804, Greenwich, Berks Co. PA
In the will George refers to himself as Georg Ley but signs Jorg Ley
(umlaut over the "o" and the "y"). There are many references to his
beloved wife Rebecca.
Executors of the will are Valentin Probst and George's son Jacob Ley.
(Jacob signs Ley with an umlaut over the "y")
George wills his plantation of about 140 acres to his wife with an
offer to his son for full purchase. If his son cannot or doesn't want to
purchase the plantation himself, the sale of said plantation should be
divided evenly between his children: Anna Smithin, Margareth Sohin, Susana Fogthin, Elisabeth Himmelin, Catherine Sohin, Barbara Sohin, Jacob Ley,
Magthalina Loy
Total pages 17 with extensive listing of property and persons owing him money. George was evidently fairly wealthy.
-------------------------------
In your data base you list the following children for George: Elizabeth LOY, Susan LOY, Jacob LOY, Mary Magdaline LOY, Maria Catharine LOY, Frederick LOY.
This matches up pretty well with the list of children from the will, with the exception of Frederick who is not mentioned. The married names of George's daughters are also very interesting: Smith, Soh, Himmel and Focht. Do you know anything about these PA families?
I think this will shows that George's daughter Catharine was not the wife of George H. Mühlschlägel. So the search goes on for Maria Catharine Loy married to George H. Mühlschlägel married approx. 1781.
