[55907] The unverified file GH3W-417 in familysearch.org offers: "When Russell Osborn Hayward was born on 20 July 1925, in Marion Township, Washington, Maine, United States, his father, Arthur Bell Hayward, was 22 and his mother, Gladys M. Davis, was 19. He married Gloria Adell Allen on 14 January 1950, in Maine, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 daughters. He lived in Addison, Washington, Maine, United States in 1950 and Columbia Falls, Washington, Maine, United States in 1982. He registered for military service in 1943. He died on 22 September 2002, in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine, United States, at the age of 77, and was buried in Great Hill Cemetery, Columbia Falls, Washington, Maine, United States."
[22194] George Adam and wife are probably buried in the Falkner Swamp Lutheran Church cemetery at New Hanover, PA. Their marriage is recorded at New Hanover Lutheran Church, New Hanover Twp., Montgomery Co., PA. He probably emigrated from Germany to Philadelphia on the Ship Alexander and Ann, arriving 5 Sept 1730. He appears on the ship's lists as Adam Fillipott, Adam Hillipott and Adam Hilpott - - see "Pennsylvania German Pioneers...," Ralph Beaver Srassburger (Camden, ME: Picton Press, 1992), I:34-36. This was once suggested as the Helbert ancestry, but is questionable. See http://www.geocities.com/tiana.geo/ANCES2.HTM (not verified), which also gives his family; also see: http://www.larryhillpot.com/first.htm. The surname became Helbert. Ancestry.com offers: "Helbert Name Meaning - North German: variant of Hilbert, or from another Germanic compound personal name, Helmbert, composed of the elements helm helmet, protection + berht bright, illustrious.French and Dutch: from a Germanic personal name composed of the elements heil healthy + berht bright, illustrious.Dutch: hypercorrected form of Elbert."
[60664] Edward served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He is son of Edward Millett, Sr. (1880-1954) & Margaret L. Keenan (1888-1940; m . 23 October 1912 in Bangor, Penobscot Co., ME).

[21697] "Snyder County Tribune [Middleburg, Pennsylvania], 12 June 1941," p. 4: "Mrs. Sarah Amelie Moyer Witmer, 82, prominent county native and lifelong resident, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob H. Kuster, West Walnut street. She had been in ill health for several months. Mrs. Witmer was born April 5, 1869 in the 'Old Stone House,' Freeburg, a landmark of that community built in 1807. Her father was George C. Moyer, one-time associate judge of Snyder county, a charter director of First National Bank, Selinsgrove, State legislator from Snyder county and for many years the leading merchant and postmaster of Freeburg. Her mother was Elizabeth Fisher Moyer. Mrs. Witmer graduated from Freeburg Academy and Freeburg Music College and also attended a music college at Aaronsburg. On October 17, 1880, at the home of her parents in Freeburg, she became the bride of George Miller Witmer, of Salem. The newlyweds went to housekeeping in Salem, where Mr. Witmer took over the store operated by his father and also succeeded his father as postmaster, holding the two positions jointly for 37 years. Mr. Witmer also built the mill at Salem and operated it until his death, in 1922, when his son Calvin succeeded him. Mrs. Witmer, cultured and charming, was an accomplished musician. Her interests outside of her home and family centered largely in her church where she was a Sunday School teacher for sixty-five years. She was a member of the Selinsgrove Woman's Club for many years having become identified with the organization when it was called the Selinsgrove Study Club. She is survived by the following children: Miss Katherine M. Witmer, Salem, teacher in the Selinsgrove schools; Mrs. Arthur C. Harris, of Gordon, wife of the Lutheran minister; Mrs. Jacob H. Kuster and Ralph Witmer, both of West Walnut street, and Calvin Witmer, West Sny der street. Another son, George D., preceded her in death in 1933. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Capt. A. C Harris, Fort McKinley, Philippine Islands; George D. Wit- mer, Jr., Huntingdon; Calvin M. Witmer, Jr., and Ralph Witmer, Jr., both of Selinsgrove; Ralph W. Harris and Mary Edith Harris, both of Gordon, and Sarah Elizabeth Witmer, Harrisburg; also one sister, Mrs. Katherine M. Phillips, 84, Aaronsburg. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death - Calvin F. and James P. Moyer, both of Freeburg, adn Mrs. Emmeline Mertz, of North- umberland, R. D. All services will be held at 2 p. m. today at Salem Lutheran and Reformed church, Rev. H. G. Snyder, pastor of Middleburg Reformed charge, officiating, assisted by Rev. H. G. Snable, pastor of Salem Lutheran parish. Interment will be in Union Cemetery."
